Frances Sweet Meader, daughter of Robert Eugene Meader (1871-1952) [0455] and Jennie Gibson (1869-1929), was born in Albion, MI October 30, 1898. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she did graduate work at the Universities of Nanking, Peking and California as well as the University of Missouri. She was a high school teacher, reporter, feature writer for The Grand Rapids Press and Battle Creek Enquirer-News, missionary in China and social worker.
July 1, 1933 she married Lloyd Nelson Way, born April 16, 1898 the son of George Nelson Way and Delia Morilla Thompson and died December 24, 1945. He brought with him a child by his earlier marriage to Margaret Cook of Howell, MI: Margaret Carroll Way, born February 12, 1929. Frances Meader lived in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, San Diego County, CA and later in Carlsbad, CA.
